In 2020 we collaborated on design and construction for a Playscape at Meanwhile Brewing Company. The project took shape on a couple acres in Southeast Austin. The site of the playground is in a shady patch of Junipers, and is part of a vast, open air beer garden that also includes a music stage, food trucks and a soccer pitch. The Playscape we created was inspired by the existing forest, creating structures to look like they also organically grew out of the ground and into place like the cedars. Playscapes add an element of exercise, play and recreation to breweries, inspiring kids 1-100 to get up, run around, climb, balance and slide thru this tactile, interpretive sculpture.
